Six Highway Workers Die In Maryland Construction Zone Crash

The Washington Post reports, six Maryland highway construction workers were killed yesterday afternoon in an I-695 (Baltimore beltway) work zone. The initial investigation reveals that the driver of a sedan was attempting a lane change when she struck the front of another sedan and lost control of her vehicle. She then hit several workers before overturning. She was subsequently hospitalized. The identities of the deceased workers have not yet been released. The National Transportation Safety Board announced last night that it will assist police with the investigation.
