Please Note: On January 29, 2024, NCTA issued Addendum 01 to the Request for Proposals regarding Wrong-Way Vehicle Detection and Notification Systems. The addendum includes revisions of the procurement schedule, one of which extends the proposal due date to February 29, 2024, by 4:00 PM ET. The RFP documents, including Addendum 01, are accessible at: https://connect.ncdot.gov/business/Turnpike/Pages/WWDDNS.aspx.


The North Carolina Turnpike Authority (NCTA) has released a Request for Proposals to provide Wrong-Way Vehicle Detection and Notification Systems. NCTA is interested in soliciting proposals from qualified proposers to provide solutions for wrong-way driver detection, deterrence, notification technology and services in various scenarios applicable to current and future toll facility projects in North Carolina. 

Proposers can submit questions until 4:00 PM EST on January 30, 2024. Questions are to be submitted to the procurement email address (identified below) using the form provided in the RFP exhibits, Exhibit D-7: Proposer Questions Form. The proposal due date is 4:00 PM EST, March 1, 2024.
