Mary Jane O'Meara Recognized For Industry Leadership

“Engineering News-Record” profiles Mary Jane O’Meara, the recipient of ENR New England’s  2021 Legacy Award. She looks back on a time — not so long ago — when she was the only woman professional in attendance at an IBTTA convention. ENR notes, “the momentum propelling women into the field has been growing in recent years,” and it has taken more than a few to the highest levels of leadership. That’s due in part to the example set by O’Meara, who is being recognized for an ongoing career of many accomplishments, as well as her mentorship of women in transportation. After service in Massachusetts transportation agencies, O’Meara joined HNTB as a vice president and a member of its national tolling group.
