Chief Marketing Officer — GeoToll

Company Overview: GeoToll is a transportation technology and services company, founded with the goal of providing toll facility operators and the driving public with a new customer-focused mobile solution for tolling. GeoToll’s solution brings the full benefits of interoperability to the electronic tolling industry by leveraging the growing ubiquity of the most widespread electronic device on the planet – the smartphone – and merging it with our patent-pending enhanced GPS technology, or “e-GPS,” in our feature-rich app. In a Pilot test, GeoToll was able to identify 5% of transactions that were not read by the tolling agency. Our team has decades of experience in wireless telecommunications technology and tolling operations.

Position Description: GeoToll’s operations and marketing are unique in that there are two distinct target markets GeoToll is capturing: tolling agencies and driving consumers. Thus, these two sales funnels are built around two different marketing messages and value propositions. The Chief Marketing Officer will be responsible for the sourcing and development of GeoToll’s contracts with tolling agencies as well as the go-to-market strategy and execution for GeoToll’s consumer-facing app. Both tolling agency partnerships and individual customer acquisition are extremely important for the success of the company, so the Chief Marketing Officer will need to develop and implement a robust plan with precisely strategized marketing campaigns to drive adoption in each. The Chief Marketing Officer will report to the Chief Executive Officer of the company as second in command and will have the following specific responsibilities:

  1. Source, Quote, and Close Contracts with Tolling Agencies
    • Leverage professional network and sales skills (ideally in the tolling industry) to gain quantifiable traction with tolling agencies for GeoToll
    • Set and achieve specific milestone plan for securing contracts and utilizing traction to move GeoToll forward toward broad adoption and profitability
    • Provide effective direction to the GeoToll team as an influential leader in operations management and sales
  1. Strategize and Execute Consumer-Facing Marketing Campaign to Promote GeoToll App
    • Develop an aggressive consumer go-to-market strategy that includes data-driven marketing strategy, incentives, and promotions to encourage app sign-ups and repeat usage
    • Manage collection and strategic use of all user data acquired from the app, ensuring effective collection of valuable marketing data
    • Coordinate and oversee PPC advertising, SEO, and creative marketing strategies such as relevant influencer promotion
  1. Drive Ongoing Process Improvement in Marketing, Sales, and Operations
    • Perform ongoing market research to position more effectively than competitors
    • Coordinate with executive team to improve website and revamp marketing messaging
    • Continually optimize campaigns based on research and user data
  1. Work with Clients and Customers to Optimize Effectiveness and Usability of App
    • Manage app optimization through effective UX and UI design, consistent and compelling marketing messaging, and improvements based on feedback
    • Perform ongoing user testing in order to stay in touch with consumer needs and feedback
