Tampa Bay Business Journal reports, “The Florida Department of Transportation is making available $1 million to the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority to fund an Autonomous Vehicle Circulator Service in downtown Tampa. The service, expected to launch sometime in 2017, will run from the Marion Transit Center through downtown along the Marion Street Transitway. That road is closed to driver traffic and offers only low-speed transit and emergency vehicle access.”
