The Wall Street Journal reports that the European Union is taking Germany to the European Court of Justice over “a road-toll scheme championed by the Bavarian arm of [Chancellor Angela] Merkel’s party that would allow German taxpayers to claim back the fee as a tax deduction — a point Brussels sees as discriminatory.”
