WEST VIRGINIA PARKWAYS AUTHORITY

TOLL SYSTEM REPLACEMENT

**************

Request for Information Announcement

The West Virginia Parkways Authority (WVPA) is posting this notice in anticipation of advertising a Request For Information (RFI) in March that will be available at the WVPA website https://transportation.wv.gov/Turnpike/Business/Pages/default.aspx

The intent of the RFI is to share certain details concerning the Authority’s interest in replacing their current toll collection system, including all roadside, central host and backoffice customer service components, and obtain input on certain aspects of the project. WVPA will also seek information regarding associated maintenance services for the provided systems. Note that WVPA plans to continue to self-perform back office customer service operations and therefore operations services are not anticipated as part of the RFI. The RFI provides an opportunity for the toll systems industry (including integrators, technology, and service providers) to offer their input to the Authority concerning specific items to be defined within the RFI. The RFI will also include information about the process to schedule one-on-one (1:1) meetings with the Authority prior to responding to the RFI, including available dates and times.

The schedule is generally anticipated to have the RFI published in March, followed by the opportunity to schedule 1:1 meetings prior to submission of responses to the RFI before end of April.

This notice is provided for informational purposes only. The information set forth in this notice is preliminary and subject to change in all respects. The Authority may change or cancel the plans outlined here at any time and will not be liable for or reimburse any firm for expenses they may choose to incur as a result of this notice.
