Notice Of Intent To Issue RFP For Open Road Tolling System — Bay Area Toll Authority

Request for Proposals
Open Road Tolling System
for the Bay Area Toll Bridges

In the coming weeks, the Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) will be inviting firms to submit a proposal for the Design, Installation, Commission, Operation and Maintenance of a new toll collection system at the seven State-owned Toll Bridges in the San Francisco Bay Area. The project will convert toll collection operations from All Electronic Toll (AET) collection at toll plazas to Open Road Tolling (ORT).

The scope of service consists of furnishing all labor, machinery, tools, means of transportation, supplies, equipment, materials, safety equipment, services, and incidentals to provide a complete ORT system, Maintenance and Operations Support and related Services, and will be included in the upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP) document. Note: The scope of work for this project does not include providing a Customer Service Center (CSC). The proposed ORT system will interface with the existing CSC operated by BATA under a separate contract.

The RFP documents for this project, when available, will be posted for download on the BATA website at https://mtc.bonfirehub.com.
