I-77 Express Dynamic Tolling Is Set to Begin on December 1
WFAE also reports on changes in the I-77 Express toll rates. A promotional rate (discounted twenty-five percent) has expired, and a one-way trip across the entire 26-mile facility now costs approximately $6.50. On December 1, the current fixed-rate pricing will reportedly end with I-77 Mobility Partners’ initiation of dynamic tolling.
WFAE provides a separate guide to the use of the express lanes that includes information about toll pricing.

The Gazette editorial board urges Coloradans to keep their minds open when state transportation officials unveil their plan to build more express toll lanes. “Not everyone should have to wait in a traffic jam,” they write. “When governments make the burden of traffic congestion an option, rather than an intractable plight, everyone benefits.” The editors characterize express lanes development as a “philosophy about reducing traffic congestion in a democratic fashion,” and they say it “makes good sense.”
