New Hampshire Turnpike Traffic Rises

WMUR reports, nearly 1.6 million vehicles passed through New Hampshire turnpike toll plazas during the week ending May 31, an increase of 37,000 on the previous week’s total. However, traffic volume is still well below typical pre-epidemic levels. More than 2.1 million vehicles passed the state’s toll points during the week of March 8, according to the article.

ARTBA Foundation Announces New Hall Of Fame Entries

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association Foundation announced that Peter Kiewitt, Jim Peterson, Norm Mineta and the Roebling Family are the 2020 inductees into its Transportation Development Hall of Fame. “Launched a decade ago, the Hall ‘honors individuals or families from the public and private sectors who have made extraordinary contributions to U.S. transportation development during their careers,’” according to a foundation news release.

Secretary Mineta’s life is the subject of a documentary film recently rebroadcast by PBS.
