ARTBA Offers Online Training On COVID-19 And The Work Zone

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) is now offering an online training course on COVID-19 for employers and employees. The one-hour “COVID-19 & Common Infectious Diseases” course reportedly covers “industry best practices to prevent work zone spread of coronavirus and other infectious diseases,” as well as basic information about the causes, prevention and treatment of COVID-19 and other common airborne infectious diseases. The course is free to ARTBA members.

Kansas Turnpike Communications Team Receives National Recognition

The Kansas Turnpike Authority (scroll down to “KTA wins . . .”) announced that its communications team led by Rachel Bell received honors in the National Federation of Press Women’s 2020 communication contest. In March, three of KTA’s four entries in a Kansas state heat won first place and advanced to the national competition. In the finals, the authority won the Social Media Campaign first-place award, the Crisis Communication second-place award, and the Public Relations Materials third-place award.
