Unsuccessful Legal Challenge to Pennsylvania Turnpike Tolls Comes to an End

“Land Line” Magazine reports, the United States Supreme Court yesterday put a definitive end to a trucking industry lawsuit that challenged the constitutionality of Pennsylvania Turnpike toll rate increases. The Court refused without explanation to grant an appeal from lower court rulings that dismissed the lawsuit’s claims. “Land Line” commented, “After a nearly two-year legal battle, the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association’s fight against Pennsylvania’s tolls has reached a dead end.”
