Italy's Anas Wins Russian Toll Road Construction Contract
“Global Construction Review” reports, Russia chose Anas, an Italian state-controlled contractor, to collaborate with Avtodor, the Russian state infrastructure and highway service company, on construction of a new 729-kilometer (453-mile) toll road between Moscow and Kazan. “The deal was reached after a meeting between Russian president Vladimir Putin and Italian prime minister Giuseppe Conte.” The estimated $8.6 billion project, which is already headed toward a 2024 conclusion, is reportedly part of Russia’s $96 billion transportation infrastructure modernization program.
