The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking a highly qualified, senior-level professional to provide oversight and management to assist the Hampton Roads District in managing the Hampton Roads Express Lane Network (HRELN), freeways, and managed lanes, and to administer the contracts associated with the installation, operation, and maintenance of express and managed lanes. The candidate will manage and communicate with other agencies, departments, local and regional officials, independent engineers, district management, and Central Office Divisions. The candidate will also be responsible for overall program management, to include monitoring compliance with VDOT and FHWA Standards and Specifications; Baseline Asset Report Updates; dispute resolution; coordination for financial reporting and management of financial obligations; public outreach related to customer service, planned lane closures, marketing, public relations and emergencies.
