CBS News New York reports, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority seized 20 cars on Monday in a crackdown on toll scofflaws at the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge In all, the owners of the 20 cars were collectively responsible for almost $600,000 in unpaid tolls and fees. “The MTA also issued a warning, saying bridge and tunnel officers have the [tools] they need to find persistent violators no matter how many tricks they try.” The MTA seized 1,800 vehicles in 2022 for unpaid tolls.
