According to KOKI, “The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) approved a construction contract on March 7 for cable barriers to be installed along the Cherokee Turnpike.” The report adds, “’I’ve seen a couple of examples lately where we have had tractor trailers get into cable barriers and they have saved lives,’” said Secretary of Transportation and Executive Director of OTA Tim Gatz.”
