CTRMA Launches MoPac Auxiliary And Merge Lanes Project Next Week

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) announced that construction of the Barton Skyway Ramp Relief Project will begin next Tuesday, January 31, and is expected to reach completion early next year. By adding auxiliary and merge lanes to southbound MoPac Express, CTRMA expects to alleviate congestion around several interchanges and improve travel time throughout the corridor. “Backups between the Bee Caves Road and Loop 360 cause congestion extending far beyond those short limits,” noted CTRMA Executive Director James Bass. “We hope to provide meaningful relief to the region with these improvements.”
