Wisconsin DOT Hopes Someone Will Adopt And Relocate Two Historic Bridges

Wisconsin Examiner reports, Wisconsin DOT is looking for someone to acquire and relocate two historic, steel truss bridges deemed functionally obsolete and due to be replaced by a new $34.5-million WIS 130 crossing. WisDOT is offering the rural Richland County bridges free of charge to someone willing to preserve their structural integrity, and it will provide funds to assist with the removal. “The deadline for those interested to request ownership materials has been extended from Oct. 31 to Nov. 30.
