Louisiana Parish Publishes More Details Of Proposed Private Tollway Project

The Bossier, Louisiana, parish government issued an official announcement about the proposed route of a private road and toll bridge that Tim James, Inc., hopes to build. It would start at Flournoy Lucas Road in Caddo Parish and extend across several miles of privately owned land before connecting across the Red River with US 71 in Bossier. A “small portion” of right-of-way must be purchased from the City of Shreveport. A local port commission official states in the announcement, “This roadway and bridge are in close proximity to the 4,000-acre Port of Caddo Bossier complex and will immensely enhance the logistics and transportation efficiency of our tenants and customers.” The parish notice adds, “Next point of public engagement will occur when Tim James, Inc. and the respective parish governing authorities negotiate the required ordinances and cooperative endeavor agreements.”

KEEL covers the announcement and posts the audio of an interview of William Bradford, a Louisiana attorney representing Alabama-based Tim James, Inc.
