Metro Portland County Adopts Values Statement On Transportation Funding

The Clackamas County, Oregon, Board of County Commissioners wants to have a voice in discussions about transportation funding, particularly ODOT proposals to toll interstates and highways in metro Portland. Rather than take a definitive position, the board voted this week to adopt a statement of values on funding solutions with the goal of remaining “proactive and nimble as discussions continue.” The statement identifies interests related to project funding, economic and environmental impacts, and community equity.
