New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) yesterday announced that Cashless Tolling Constructors, LLC, will resume toll plaza removal and interchange reconstruction on the New York State Thruway this week. The work, scheduled for completion this summer, weather permitting, will bring to an end the thruway’s systemwide $355 million conversion to cashless tolling. Cuomo said the project demonstrates New York’s commitment to investing in infrastructure despite “the COVID-19 crisis.”
