FASTag Mandate Will Save India’s Drivers Billions In Fuel Costs

Mint reports, India’s highways minister estimates that FASTag use, which is reducing wait times at national highway toll plazas, will save drivers 20,000 crore rupees a year (about 2.275 billion USD) in fuel costs. He added that toll revenue is on the increase since the government made electronic payment mandatory for all motorists on February 16.
