IBTTA announced that its board of directors elected Andrew Fremier to serve as the international organization’s second vice-president. Mr. Fremier, a licensed civil engineer, is the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s deputy executive director for operations and the deputy executive director of the Bay Area Toll Authority, responsible for managing revenue and toll collection from the seven state-owned bridges in the San Francisco metropolitan area. IBTTA President Mark Compton commented, “Andy is a visionary who thinks strategically and long term. He is uniquely suited to help the tolling industry play a pivotal role in transportation’s reemergence in a post-COVID world.”
