According to AASHTO Journal, President Biden has made good on his commitment to begin converting the US government fleet to zero emission vehicles. An executive order issued by the president on January 27 requires, among other things, that federal agencies “procure carbon pollution-free electricity and clean zero-emission vehicles” made in the US. AASHTO also notes that the administration is planning to install 500,000 new electric vehicle charging stations across the country.
