Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports, “The Pennsylvania Turnpike will begin work [today] on a 7.5-mile, $117 million project to widen more than 7 miles of the toll road in Somerset County from two lanes in each direction to three. The project, which has New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. as the lead contractor, also will include straightening two sections of the highway to provide better sight lines for motorists.”
