CBS News Miami reports, a 44-year-old driver attempting to enter the Florida Turnpike Extension early yesterday morning lost control of his car, swerved onto a grassy area and then into an adjacent canal. First responders were able to locate the car and remove the driver, but he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The investigation of the accident is reportedly continuing.
