WFTV, in a report on Florida’s ongoing conversion of 70 miles of turnpike to cashless tolling, notes that fully 85 percent of the toll road’s customers already have a transponder or “have a toll-by-plate bill sent to them later in the mail.” The article adds that the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) has no current plans to convert to AET, “even though most of their customers rely on electronic tolling.”
