Aurora Sentinel reports that the northeast section of the Colorado city has become the site of several “massive distribution centers” in recent years, and City Councilman Brad Pierce attributes the construction and employment boom to the E-470 toll highway. “I think E-470 has been the catalyst for all of the development out here,” he told the newspaper while touring the construction site of an Amazon fulfillment center that is expected to employ about a thousand workers.
