The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that officials warned the public to stay out of a creek in south Topeka after a sewage spill from a Kansas Turnpike Authority interchange project. Rachel Bell, KTA’s director of business services and customer relations, tells the newspaper that the spill occurred as a subcontractor “prepared to relocate a sewage line.”
