Florida Today reports that recent traffic disruptions caused by brush fires and projections of population growth have focused attention on a 2014 task force report that recommends construction of two new east-west highways in the Space Coast region. The newspaper adds that the proposed highways “remain on the drawing board” and will most likely be toll roads.
