Latest ASCE Infrastructure Report Card’s GPA Is “D+”

“Engineering News-Record” looks at the American Society of Civil Engineers’ latest “report card” on the state of the nation’s fixed infrastructure assets. The dismal overall grade of “D+” indicates no improvement has occurred since the last ASCE evaluation. The article notes that the society (like the rest of us) is awaiting details of the administration’s infrastructure spending proposal, but wants to see “increased infrastructure funding—to 3.5% of the gross domestic product by 2025, up from 2.5% currently—from federal, state and local government and the private sector.”
