Daily Herald reports, “By this time next week, Kane County officials will either own or have the power to own 100 percent of the land needed to build the Longmeadow Parkway.” The county board’s executive committee this week unanimously approved about 20 properties for possible “quick take,” an eminent domain procedure. The newspaper notes, however, there is still some localized opposition to the Illinois road and toll bridge project.
