Toronto Sun reports, “Tolls have driven a wedge between left-wing politicians on city council and their provincial [social-democrat New Democratic Party] cousins. Left-wing councillors and Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath came down on opposite sides of the tolling issue last week when city council approved Mayor John Tory’s plan to hit motorists with a fee for driving on the Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway.”
