Toronto Star editors congratulate Mayor Tory and the majority of city legislators who voted to approve a tolling plan that “could raise $200 million a year to help pay for transit and other projects that have been shamefully neglected for years.” The editors urge Ontario legislators, including the opposition party leaders who have been trying to scuttle the plan, to get behind Toronto and grant the approval necessary for tolling to begin.
