MYNorthwest.com reports that the CEO of Sound Transit has made a controversial suggestion to raise the current HOV-2 standard on metro Seattle highway carpool lanes. Peter Rogoff says HOV-2 is no longer a general norm and the area’s HOV-2 lanes perform poorly, causing express buses to get bogged down in traffic when they use the lanes.
