The Courier-Journal reports, “The East End bridge will open to traffic on Dec. 18 following an afternoon ribbon-cutting ceremony with project officials and a public caravan across the new bridge, officials announced Tuesday [December 6].” As WDRB reports, a start date for toll collection has still not been announced. In contrast to the Downtown Crossing phase of the Ohio River Bridges project, “there are no bonuses for completing the eastern crossing early,” WDRB notes.
