KLTV News reports that the North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority (NET RMA) board is considering making additional safety upgrades to a segment of Toll 49 in Smith County. After the public commented on an initial safety work plan, the NET RMA staff presented the board with a proposal to install either a barrier or a “flush median” between the highway’s traffic lanes.
