The Press Enterprise reports, “The yearslong project to add six lanes and dozens of bridges to a congested section of the 91 freeway in Corona is more than 80 percent complete.” The newspaper provides a lengthy Q&A on the Riverside County Transportation Commission’s project, slated to be completed in May 2017, including the estimated tolls for the express lanes. According to the newspaper, “Preliminary Riverside County Transportation Commission figures show a Riverside commuter could . . . spend more than $100 a week in express lane fees to drive daily into Orange County and back, though [RCTC spokeswoman Eliza] Perez said an independent study found most drivers only planned to use the toll roads twice a week.”
