The Press of Atlantic City reports that a September 6 fire on the Beesleys Point Bridge did not endanger the public and will not affect the schedule for the bridge’s demolition. “The NJTA is undertaking the demolition as part of a $143 million contract to reconstruct the southbound Garden State Parkway bridge over the Great Egg Harbor,” the newspaper reports.
