KEYE-TV News (Austin) reports, “Drivers expecting to take the MoPac express lanes might want to sign up for a TXTag to not only pay less, but also to see how much they’re paying. The first MoPac express lane . . . could open sometime in August. Signs are already in place. . . .” The signs will display the variable toll rate for TxTag holders as it fluctuates, but motorists choosing the pay-by-mail option will only receive notice that “HIGHER RATES APPLY.”
