Poinciana Parkway Traffic Exceeds Projections

Osceola News-Gazette (Kissimmee) reports, “Poinciana Parkway has been open for business collecting tolls for just over a month. According to the traffic counts, business has been very good.” In May, after the highway’s first segment opened and no tolls were collected, the Osceola County Expressway Authority counted 6,000 vehicles per day, double its projection. Since E-Pass and toll-by-plate operations started on June 1, volume has exceeded 5,000 cars per weekday.
