VDOT — Re-Released RFI for I-64 Express Lanes Toll System

The Virginia Department of Transportation is re-releasing its I-64 Expansion RFI, which concerns the toll system requirements and toll systems integrator scope envisioned for the I-64 Express Lanes Expansion. The RFI is addressed to all firms with experience in furnishing, designing, installing, maintaining and operating All-Electronic-Toll collection systems, toll violations enforcement systems and related reporting and financial systems.

The RFI now includes updated questions based on new information to further inform future procurement activities. Firms not previously engaged are invited to address all question(s) contained in the RFI, while firms that have been engaged are invited to address questions 4, and 8-14 in section 8 of the document. All firms are invited to participate in an Industry Webinar scheduled for February 14, 2020. Attending the Industry Webinar is not a prerequisite to submitting a response to the RFI, however, it is a pre-requisite for participating in later one-on-one phone conferences. Firms with direct experience with the design, installation, maintenance and/or operation of All-Electronic-Toll collection systems, including trip building, reporting and reconciliation for a toll facility, are further invited to request an appointment for one-on-one discussions with VDOT.
