The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit competitive Proposals for innovative mobile applications that allow OTA’s customers who do not have a PIKEPASS to electronically pay tolls incurred on the Authority’s turnpikes. The goal of such mobile applications is to facilitate the payment of toll charges concurrent with or shortly after customer travel, prior to receipt of a bill, in an attempt to decrease the Authority’s expenses and the time it takes the Authority to receive payment. OTA does not intend to design or develop a full mobile payment application or system from the ground up; rather, OTA is seeking existing mobile applications and systems that are currently in use, fully operational, and can become fully functional for OTA in a short amount of time. The Authority’s intent is to enter into a contract with one or more Proposers to implement mobile applications. Selected Proposals will be implemented, or not implemented, by the Authority at its sole discretion.
The RFP will be made available via CivCastUSA.com (CIVCAST | Advertise, Manage, and Receive Construction Bids and RFQs (civcastusa.com)) on October 28, 2021.
OTA will be hosting a mandatory pre-proposal meeting via Zoom video conference at 2:00pm (CST), Friday, November 5, 2021 (see details in RFP).
The RFP response due date is 3:00pm (CST), Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
