Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Issues Supplements To Technology Consultant RFP
The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) has issued addenda (One and Two) and a list of questions and answers in regard to its recently issued RFP for general technology consultants qualified to provide on-call professional consulting services related to toll-industry infrastructure and technology, the authority’s electronic toll collection system, and toll facility operations for projects. (The deadline for responses is Thursday, April 6, 2023.)

The Illinois Tollway Authority issued a reminder to customers that it will begin reinstating toll payment violation notices in April. “[C]ustomers who have received multiple invoices and reminders for the same unpaid tolls will receive a notice of violation that, if ignored, will result in a $20 fine assessed on each unpaid toll. These fines will be in addition to any previously assessed invoice fees.” The authority notes that the issuance of notices follows its adoption of “an overwhelmingly successful amnesty program, a broad expansion of the I-PASS Assist program and completion of complex technological changes required to restructure the Illinois Tollway’s violation enforcement program.” The announcement recaps the authority’s 2020 toll invoicing reforms “to reduce the initial impact of unpaid tolls on motorists.”
