Kansas Turnpike Announces February Contract Awards

KTA Awards Three Contracts in February

TOPEKA, KS – The Kansas Turnpike Authority announces bids have been approved and contracts awarded on three upcoming Turnpike construction projects.

Project #7078 – Reconstruction of the Eastern Terminal Plaza located at mile marker 216 I-70/KTA to convert to open road tolling and reconstruction of the 188th Street Bridge and construction of a new 182nd Street bridge crossing I-70/KTA at mile markers 216.404 and 217.176 was awarded to Bettis Asphalt & Construction, Inc., Topeka, KS for $13,380,579.88.

Project #7108 – Permanent seeding at the Bazaar Cattle Pens and scenic overlook at mile marker 110.820 I-35/KTA was awarded to RF Beachner Contractors, LLC, Pittsburg, KS for $24,910.20.

Project #7058 – Ramp improvements at El Dorado south interchange at mile marker 71 and pavement overlay from mile marker 50.8 to 71.3 I-35/KTA was awarded to Shilling Construction Co, Inc. Manhattan, KS for $6,438,814.55.
