Egis Projects, Inc., Celebrates Major 2019 Achievements

ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 17, 2020) — Egis Projects, Inc., a major developer of infrastructure projects, is celebrating several major accomplishments by the company during 2019.

Center of Excellence Certification

It was recently announced that Egis Projects has been certified as a Center of Excellence by BenchmarkPortal. The Center of Excellence recognition is one of the most prestigious awards in the customer service and support industry. Egis Projects is an essential partner in the transportation industry providing innovative and quality mobility solutions for today and tomorrow. The company’s expertise in CSC operations for the tolling industry include call center management, support operations management, walk-in center, quality control, correspondent management and case management.

BenchmarkPortal awards the “Center of Excellence” designation to customer service contact centers that rank in the top ten percent of the contact centers surveyed. They are judged against a Balanced Scorecard of metrics for efficiency and effectiveness. Those contact centers that demonstrate superior performance on both cost-related metrics and quality-related metrics compared with their industry peers earn the award.

This is Egis Projects’ eighth Award of Excellence from Benchmark Portal.

Toll 101 Video Series 

Egis Projects, Inc. COO Martin Stone, Ph.D., AICP, delivered an informative and well-received Toll 101 Workshop at the International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association (IBTTA) Technology Conference held in Orlando. In response to the popularity of the session, Egis Projects produced a video version of the workshop called “Toll 101.”

“Toll 101” is a series of seven introductory video presentations designed to educate a variety of audiences to the unique characteristics and value of tolling as part of the approach to finance, build and operate transportation in North America. Now available via YouTube, the series features two toll-industry leaders: Stone and Tom Knuckey, National Toll Technology Director for Atkins.

Rosa Rountree Appointed to MaaS America Advisory Board

Rountree was been selected to serve on the MaaS America Advisory Committee (MAAC). The MAAC is an assembly of seasoned mobility industry thought leaders who provide an incomparable wealth of skills and wisdom to MaaS America. MaaS America is a new, not-for-profit organization launched to champion integrated mobility services across all modes of transportation that more effectively address the needs of today’s travelers.

Key Team Members Appointed 

Egis Projects appointed Imran Virani as Chief Financial Officer and Madeline Washington, MAIS, to the position of Project Manager.

Virani is responsible for providing operational and programmatic support to the organization, directly assisting program directors and program managers on all matters related to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding. Virani is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Management Accountant.

Washington is an accomplished executive with more than 25 years of experience and expertise in financial management, administration and operations management, vendor management, and information systems for private and public organizations. Most recently, she served as Operations Manager for Egis Projects, managing the accounting and financial reporting processes, including tax and other regulatory requirements impacting operations as well as being responsible for the day-to-day performance of the Alliance for Toll Interoperability Hub (“ATI Hub”).

New Egis Projects Website

Egis Projects will launch a new, comprehensive website by the first quarter of 2020.
