Technology Associate
Organization description: The mission of the IAG Service Corporation (IAGSC) is to provide administration and support to the member toll agencies and companies in the operation of the E-ZPass program. The E-ZPass Program is the largest, most successful interoperable toll collection program anywhere in the world consisting of toll agencies-companies in 20 states, servicing more than 32 million accounts, 53 million toll tags and the collection of over $14.5 billion dollars in electronic toll revenues.
The IAGSC staff is a small, dynamic, tightly knit team dedicated to providing exceptional service in every aspect of our responsibilities.
We are seeking a junior to mid-level Technology Associate to join our staff. This is a remote work position, with some travel required.

Technology Associate
Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 / year depending on experience
Position description: The Technology Associate is an integral part of the IAGSC. The position reports to the IAGSC Technology Manager and works closely with the IAGSC staff and the various IAG committees. We are seeking self-driven candidates with experience in developing work plans, coordinating work efforts with key stakeholders and overall management of initiatives. The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in technology
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in coordinating and building consensus among various groups
- Strong skills with office productivity software, including Outlook Web Access and Global Address List management
- Ability to travel as needed
- Proactive, tenacious, problem-solving mindset
Primary Duties:
- Assist the Technology Manager in managing the technical aspects of the E-ZPass Program, including the IAG data network and equipment testing and certification:
- Assist in Managing the IAG data network
- Liaison for Members with line/cloud activity
- Problem resolution with telecommunications providers
- Establish/manage new connections to the data network
- Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting the Wide Area Networking IP addressing and assignment
- On call support as needed
- Conduct/assist equipment testing and certification
- Assist in creation of and maintaining written processes for toll equipment testing
- Maintain official records of test reports and approved equipment
- Provide support to, and coordination among the various E-ZPass standing committees
- Provide desktop/laptop, network and productivity software support to staff
- Track annual software licensing, equipment expenses replacement schedules
- Computer/laptop setup and technical support
- Staff technical support issues
- Maintaining updates, security patches, monitoring risk, problem investigation/resolution
- Support staff and various IAG committees with access permissions and distribution list creation/maintenance
- Assist in managing the required deliverables in the IAG technology contracts
- Coordinate analyses, testing, and studies involving multiple states and systems
- Support projects, including but not limited to:
- IAG Reciprocity Hub – Work with Technical Committee and IAG Hub Administrator to provide necessary technical support to the Hub
- Assist in coordination/development of project schedules and implementation plans, and work with committees and consultants to ensure project deliverable are in accordance with project plan-agreements
- Track IAG work plan elements to report status and progress against plans; identify problem areas and report to the Executive Director
- Other duties as assigned
- Assist in Managing the IAG data network
Secondary duties:
- Website administration
- Technical Committee support
- Maintaining calendars, distribution of materials, supporting TC surveys, maintain meeting notes
- Assist in the development of test plans
- Ensure testing reports are in compliance with requirements
- Propose test plan changes for efficiency
Position Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Information Technology or related field, along with 2 years of experience in progressively responsible positions in Tolling, Transportation, Project Management or Information Technology; OR
- 4 years of experience in progressively responsible positions in Tolling, Transportation, Project Management or Information Technology; OR
- A Certification from one or more of the following: Microsoft,Oracle, CISSP, CCNA, CompTIA, AWS, Google IT Support or equivalent organizations.
- A strong technical background, preferably in data network, testing,and/or RFID fields
- Experience in report writing
- Ability to travel (up to approximately 30% annually)
- (Preferred) Experience in quality assurance testing, preferably with tolling technologies (i.e. readers, transponders, etc.)
- (Preferred) Familiarity and experience with tolling specifications
