Transportation Associations Urge Congress To Aid Ailing State DOTs

AASHTO Journal reports, AASHTO joined 39 other transportation organizations in making a renewed appeal to Congressional leaders for federal assistance to state departments of transportation. In their July 20 letter, the industry, professional and advocacy groups urged lawmakers to include at least $37 billion in immediate aid for state DOTs in the next COVID-19 relief bill.

CFX Promotes Its Interoperable Uni Transponder

The Central Florida Expressway Authority is promoting sales of its Uni toll transponder, which is compatible with numerous toll systems — including E-ZPass, SunPass, PeachPass and I-PASS — across 18 states. According to a CFX news release, “As travel attitudes begin shifting from neutral to the next gear, travel experts expect to see the return of the road trip as many explore America’s back yard. To make those road trips easier, Uni is now available.”
