Motorists Get $247 Million In Credits Over First Half Of Florida’s 2024 Toll Relief Program

Osceola News-Gazette reports, transponder account holders who “drive enough” on Florida toll roads and bridges received nearly $247 million in credits during the first six months of the state’s 2024 Toll Relief Program, which started in April. More than a million eligible motorists — those with at least 35 monthly toll transactions on their accounts — receive an automatic 50 percent monthly credit, a benefit due to continue through March 2025.

According to a Florida DOT news release, the 2023 iteration of the relief program “credited customers approximately $470 million, benefiting 1.2 million Floridians with an average savings of nearly $400 each.”
