According to WTEN, the New York Thruway Authority reports that motorists are “receiving phishing messages from scammers impersonating Tolls by Mail NY. Messages claim the recipient has an outstanding balance and will direct them to click on a link from nytollservices.com,” a website that is not affiliated with any New York toll agency or the E-ZPass New York Service Center. The authority recommends recipients avoid clicking the link and immediately delete text messages from that source.
